Winter Cardio Tennis classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Classes are held at the Sequoia High School tennis courts in Redwood City. The courts are located on the James Avenue side of Sequoia High School, two blocks west of El Camino Real. We play on the far court (parallel to James Ave.)

Fees
Cardio Tennis: $12 per person per class. Payment is due before the beginning of each class. Purchase a book of 10 classes and receive one class for free! Online registration is preferred.

As Long as You're Moving, You're Doing It Right
Cardio tennis is a group fitness class that’s more about getting a workout than hitting inside the lines or acing a serve. Ed Murphy offers classes that are up-tempo aerobic workouts. “It’s like a spinning class is to bicycling. But unlike spinning, you are in the great outdoors enjoying the weather!” explains Ed.

Not Just for Tennis Players
You don't need to be a tennis player to participate in cardio tennis. Denise Austin, one of the top fitness experts and gurus, remarked, “I just was in a Cardio Tennis class with my husband and 6 other players. It was fun, I was energized and I got a great workout. And I’m not a great tennis player but I didn’t have to be. I hit a lot of balls, was constantly moving and got my heart rate pumping!”

You will work on your coordination and stamina. Cardio tennis is a great way to improve quickness, balance and agility. If you are looking for a great new way to get in shape and to burn calories, you must try Cardio Tennis!

Don't Keep Score, Keep Fit!
To improve overall health and reduce the risk of heart disease, we need at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise most days of the week. Cardio Tennis can go a long way toward helping you realize this health benefit while giving you a complete and fun workout. Lively music helps keep the energy level up. The fun meter will be on high!

Each class includes:
5-10 minute warm-up segment includes stretching and
footwork drills
.
40-50 minute cardio segment includes fun drills.
5-10 minute cool down segment.

Think about planning a private class for 6–15 of your friends and/or colleagues at a time that works for you.
